FIFA World Cup 2014 introduced a new technology to the world named 'GOAL CONTROL' which helps referee's to take accurate goal decisions. This technology was developed by a German tech startup company. The designers says that this technology is unhackable and 100% accurate.

The most important part of this technology is 14 high speed camera's placed all around the ground which will capture 500 images per second and helps to create 3-D positioning of the ball. Another important part of this technology is a powerful image processing computer, which process and analyze the images captured by those high speed camera's.The computer, by analyzing those images, tracks the movement of all objects in the ground and filters out everything except football movement.

If the ball passes the goal line ,a signal is send to referee's watch displaying a message "GOAL" with a vibration. All these happens within 1 second when ball passes the line.It cost's around $260,000  to  install this technology per stadium and $3,900 per match to operate this technology.

.

In World Cup 2010,England's midfielder Frank Lampard's goal against Germany was disallowed by referee. That  was a turning point  of the match which led to Germany's victory. This incident caused widespread protest all over the world and that made FIFA president Sepp Blatter to use some kind of technology which helps referee's to take accurate decisions. This paved the way of development of Goal Control technology.

Sony did reveal that the inside of PS4 will essentially be a "supercharged PC" much like an Xbox. That's  a big departure from the old and idiosyncratic design and should make it easier for developers to crearte games.

Genius Gila gaming mouse

One word in a particular language might mean an entirely different name in another , and  i do wonder whether Genius  of Taiwan did their research before they decided to christen their latest 12-button  professional gaming mouse  as the flagship model for the GX Gaming Series as the Genius Gila . Basically , "Gila " means  crazy, insane , or  mad in the context of Malay language .

The Genius Gila is a 2013 CES Innovations Award Honoree , and it is headed to the North American market , althhough i am quite sure that if you  were to live outside north america a you will have to import one .

Features on Genius Gila include on-the-fly DPi changes , weight that cater to different people for the "feel" of the mouse , adjustable levels for the LED brightness , pulsation and color , in addition to programing your own macros for personalysed playing style.

FPS gamers will find the Gilla Sniper Mode to be ideal as it slows down mouse movements to a dpi of your choise as long as you hold down the assigned button..These  mouse are available at just $99.99
